The territory’s first hotel to surpass one thousand rooms, The Excelsior was located along waterfront, situated right across the Noon-day Gun, and was an instant success when it opened in 1973.The logo consists of multiple rectangles, resembling the multi-story building’s many windows, and is half purple half blue, symbolic of its reflection in the Victoria Harbour.
